Snapper went to Straddie and added another historical tag to the teams trophy over the weekend. The crew on the job consisted of  Mitty Parko, J Phillys, Blakey a Dj, Soli loves Baliys, Noah shark me off, Clinton good times Kimmins,Gossy the love machine, Vassa the jackhammer, Brodie take no shit Doyle, being coached by Darrel deep spit out Parko & SB. Not to be outdone, brothers Sol and Ice Pereira- Ryan capped off a memorable event for Snapper Rocks in the pairs , beating out Byron Bay, Noosa and Burleigh in front of a crowded Main Beach on Stradbroke. The Pereira-Ryan brothers shared in the $1200 pairs event winner’s prize repeating the efforts of Mitch Crews and Joel Parkinson nearly three years ago and granting Snapper Rocks the overall win. Snapper Rocks Boardriders president Shane Bevan said his club’s depth of talent was overwhelming.  ‘‘The beach was packed this year,’’ he said. ‘‘It was a great vibe.’’

Snapper scores perfect 6 wins for 6 surfers to win the 2nd Annual Rhythm Kirra Junior Teams Challenge 2010. Held at Leticia Spit Fingal, ALL surfers collected heat wins, which has never been done before to our knowledge in a team event. The SrSc Team consisted of Ice P, Noah Deane, Mitch Parko, Kyuss King, Leonard Rawlings & Blake Ainsworth. Special mention to the 2 Snapper girls , Kianni Dobbyn & Alyssa Lock, who surfed for the “All Girls” club against the boys and came out with victories.
